Hello Parents and Students,
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself.  This will be my sixth year at DCC.  I love our students and this community.  I feel so blessed to call DCC home!   You're going to find right away that I am not your standard music teacher.  While I love performing, I adore the time spent creating and inventing in the music classroom.  I firmly believe that the students should be creating  music, movement, and lyrics whenever possible.  Much of this philosophy stems from my experience with the Orff-Schulwerk process and methodology. I am a very active member of our local chapter and I hold my Level I and II Orff Certification.
I am also the chair-elect for the General Music Council of the Colorado Music Educators Association.  I was honored to be elected by my peers to lead the elementary music teachers at the state-level.
I completed a Masters in Education from Concordia University.  I earned my Bachelors in Music Education (k-12) from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado.   I am an experienced vocalist and I've sung in national and Colorado choirs and performance organizations throughout the country and abroad.  I also apprenticed in instrument repair, so I am experienced on most instruments.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.  My preferred method of communication is through email.
